If you’re unable to add extensions to your home from the side we can also convert your attic into an additional habitable room. We offer our clients the most economical loft conversion strategy which maximizes the strengths of the existing structure and spaces in order to ensure that additional structures are not required to be built.

One of the best ways to increase the value of your property by a factor of two is by having a basement. Whether its a partial or full basement with light-wells, we provide full design and detailing, with calculations and bar bending schedules to compliment your project.

CHIMNEY REMOVAL

As chimneys are becoming more and more redundant, we can offer our clients the option of removing them completely leaving a flush ceiling finish. This minimal structure can be done by easily demolishing the chimney structure.

STRUTURAL SURVEY & REPORT

A mezzanine floor is an intermediate floor between main floors of a property and usually presents the form of a balcony. Mezzanine floors offer practical and large floor spaces for commercial, office or home developments. We can design the full structural steelwork, breams, and posts, with all connection details and footings provided wherever required.

SITE SUPERVISION

Our staff has the knowledge and experience required to provide skillful supervision during construction projects. Pre-agreed site inspections can be undertaken to ensure that the ongoing build reflects the initial brief and design of the project. They can provide a variety of services in order to reach project goals within your budget and timeline.

We provide steel connection design and details to steel fabricators for a range of projects, whether it is for a simple beam or multi-storey steel frame.

With building refurbishment works becoming ever more popular than selling and buying a larger home, it is inevitable that adjoining owners or property owners seek an independent opinion from another engineer before agreeing to building works which have the potential to affect their properties. This independent engineer is known in the industry as a checking engineer. We offer checking engineering services to adjoining owners advising their party wall surveyors when for example basement work or complex alterations are proposed.

Foundation designs of the full spectrum of buildings and structures is undertaken including low rise to multi storey structures. We have expertise of foundation design of structures on difficult ground or with special design requirements. In addition to more straightforward conventional strip or pad foundation design more specialist foundation designs and analysis are undertaken. These include reinforced concrete ground beam, raft, deep and water retaining basement construction.
Designs of underpinning or other foundation stabilisation or improvement works are part of the expert comprehensive design service we provide.
